JY Fuel Gas Filter Working Principle
Natural gas (fuel gas) through the deflector into the barrel separation chamber first (to avoid premature damage which caused by impact air filter), large solid and liquid particles separated by the cyclone assembly, and settle to the bottom of the vessel under the action of gravity (periodic discharge from the drain outlet). Then gas from the outside through the coalescence-separation filter, solid particles are trapped in the filter media, liquid particles are due to the filter media aggregation function and the inner surface of the filter core gradually gather. When the droplet reaches a certain amount, due to the impact of airflow from falling off the inner surface and into the filter inside, larger droplets separate by gravity sedimentation, separation of components can effectively collect droplets, to prevent the export of droplet entrainment, so that to improve the separation effect. Finally clean gas diccharge from the filter separator. With the increase of the amount of gas through the filter, the deposited particle on the filter will caused by increasing of the pressure, when the pressure rises to the setting value (read from the pressure gauge), it shows that the filter has been blocked, should be promptly replaced. Filter separator initial pressure is not higher than 20KPa, the replacement of pressure is not higher than 100KPa.
Failures and Treatment
1. Flange or check hole leakage
Run or boost process, use liquid soap inspection method. When find the leakage, switch off the separator immediately. The do blow down operation, the maintenance oferation only can be atarted after the pressure return to Zero.
2. Filter pressure increases or flow decreases
The impurity in natural gas or solid particles will make pressure difference increasing between before and after the separator caused by, when it more than 0.1MPa, it indicates that the filter inside was obstructed, stop the system and replace the filter immediately. If 2 or more separators running at the same time, the flow of one separator less than 70% with others (this value can be adjusted at run time), it means this separator may be blocked, it should be checked and replaced the filter element.
